Part 2 - The Pilkington Point & Ellawala Falls The road to the Pilkington point was very difficult and the road was narrow. there were huge bumps and mud pits. we had to drive very carefully to reach our destination. The time and effort were worth it. The view was magnificent.  This is how you reach to Pilkington point    😃 From Haputale 😃 Haputale -> 35 KMs in Bandarawela-Poonagala-Koslanda Rd -> Pilkington Point Road -> Pilkington Point 😃 From Ella 😃 Ella -> 26 KMs in Bandarawela-Poonagala-Koslanda Rd -> Pilkington Point Road -> Pilkington Point Road To The Pilkington Point Road To The Pilkington Point The Pilkington Point  We reached our destination. it was not a crowded place, I wish I had a Landcruiser instead of a car. I wonder how many beautiful places like this are hidden from the world. If I had a jeep reaching those wouldn't be a problem 😃 will see someday 😇 ----------------...

My Travel to Pilkington Point and Ice Rock Poonagala As part of my new year's resolution 2020, traveling to a destination that I have never been was the best thing I did. Usually, I planned to travel only for one day every month but this time it took 2 days. On 11th January 2020 (Saturday), I got up at 4 am because I was planned to leave the house at 5 am and Ishika malli will be there with my car. As planned he came sharp at 5 am in the morning with one of his friends and the base drummer from the band live sakura Anu malli. So we left the house around 5.15 am.  After passing the Wellawaya town and Ravana falls we came to Ella town. I was managed to capture a photo of the Ravana falls from the car.  Ravana Falls We had our breakfast (string hoppers and milk) at Haliela town.
